How to pick the right one
Most people arrive from a search with one number in mind. If you know which one, the category blocks above are the fastest route — every calculator runs as you type, with no submit button and no account.
If you are not sure where to start, start with take-home pay. Almost every other figure in your financial life is a proportion of it, and the other calculators link back to it once you have that number.
Common questions
Are these calculators free?
Yes. Every calculator is free, with no account and no limit on how often you use it. Advertising pays for them.
Which rates do they use?
Each calculator names its source and the effective date directly under the result. UK calculators use the rates published by HM Revenue & Customs for Income Tax, the Bank of England for Bank Rate and SONIA, the Office for National Statistics for CPI and CPIH, and the Department for Work and Pensions for the State Pension, refreshed when those bodies publish a change.
Do they work in other countries?
The generic calculators do — enter your own rate and currency. Tax calculators are country-specific, so they are listed per country and marked when a country pack is still in build.
Can I put one on my own site?
Yes. The embed builder gives you a snippet for any calculator. Free embeds keep a small attribution link back here.
Is this financial advice?
No. These are general information tools. Each one shows the formula it used so you can check the working, but none of them account for your circumstances.
