What we collect, which is very little, and what we do with it.
What we collect
You can use calculators and tools without an account. Calculations run in your browser, and tools keep drafts on that device. When you sign in, that tool's browser draft for the active country is linked to your account and saved to Supabase, so you can return to it on another device; later edits save automatically while you are signed in. Signing out returns the tool to local editing. When you carry a take-home result into the budget planner, the amount and its period are included in the page address, so they can appear in browser history, shared links and requests for that page. We do not collect personal information about you from anyone else, and if that changes we will say so here first.
Site reliability
We use Netlify, Supabase and Sentry to detect technical failures. Reports contain a software release, broad page category, error category and an opaque fingerprint that groups similar failures. We do not send calculator inputs, account details, full URLs, original error messages or stack traces to Sentry, and we do not record sessions. Our Supabase error counters are kept for 30 days; Sentry event retention follows its service plan, up to 90 days. Sentry processes these reports in the United States.
Cookies and advertising
Google Analytics loads on money.financial only after this browser records Accept. It uses a browser identifier and technical information to measure page use; our page-view payload excludes query strings and financial inputs. Only necessary keeps Analytics disabled and stops further collection if it has already loaded; changing your choice cannot undo earlier collection. Cloudflare Web Analytics measures page views and performance without cookies or client-side storage; its beacon still loads at the edge regardless of this choice. Hosting and security services also process request metadata, including IP addresses. No advertising runs on the site yet.
What we do with an email address
We use your email to answer messages and provide account sign-in, confirmation, password recovery and email-change messages through Supabase and Resend. These account messages use templates and are separate from marketing; there is currently no marketing mailing list. Service providers process addresses to deliver these functions. Support correspondence is held in Google Workspace.
Accounts
Accounts are free and optional. We hold your email address, any display name you provide, sign-in information and the saved entries and settings associated with your account. An email is needed for an email account; without one you can still use anonymous calculators and browser drafts. Online billing is not connected, and the site does not collect card numbers.
Sign-in security
Supabase handles authentication, including a password verifier if you choose a password, account identifiers, sessions and security metadata. If you add a passkey, Supabase holds a public key and credential identifier linked to your account, with credential and use metadata needed for sign-in. Your device or passkey provider manages the private credential; a face or fingerprint check happens locally and is not sent to us through WebAuthn.
Who holds your information and your rights
Money Financial is operated by NZWE, Inc., the legal operator and privacy controller. Registered agent address: Legalinc Corporate Services Inc., 131 Continental Dr, Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713, US. Our privacy contact is info@money.financial; contact that mailbox to request access to or correction of your personal information, ask about removal, or raise a privacy concern. We use Supabase for accounts and saved records, Resend for account emails, Cloudflare and Netlify to deliver and secure the site, Google Analytics for the analytics described here, Google Workspace for correspondence, and Sentry for the bounded reliability reports described above. Supabase stores account and saved-record data in the United States (US East, N. Virginia). These services can process information outside New Zealand. The Settings CSV contains saved tool entries; contact us for other personal information we hold about you.
Adviser and lead data
The adviser directory and its enquiry forms are not currently available. The retained enquiry system stores a sender's name, email address and message with the adviser's listing in Supabase and makes them available to that adviser; it is not a direct email relay. Contact info@money.financial about access, correction or removal of an earlier enquiry, even without an account. Deleting a sender's account does not by itself remove an enquiry held with an adviser's listing or any copy the adviser holds separately. Before enquiries become available, we will explain the recipient, purpose and retention at the form. Please avoid including another person's personal information in correspondence.
Getting your data removed
You can delete your account in Settings or ask us at info@money.financial. Account deletion removes your sign-in account and its linked records from the live database; it does not instantly erase every copy. Deleted database records can remain in Supabase's daily backups for up to seven days under our currently recorded backup arrangement. Routine correspondence is normally retained for 24 months after a case closes, with shorter request-specific periods or narrowly justified exceptions, and our email provider has separate retention. Deleting an account does not clear drafts or exports on your device or copies already held separately by an adviser; contact us about an enquiry even if you do not have an account.
