How to pick the right one
Most people arrive from a search with one number in mind. If you know which one, the category blocks above are the fastest route — every calculator runs as you type, with no submit button and no account.
If you are not sure where to start, start with take-home pay. Almost every other figure in your financial life is a proportion of it, and the other calculators link back to it once you have that number.
Common questions
Are these calculators free?
Yes. Every calculator is free, with no account and no limit on how often you use it. Advertising pays for them.
Which rates do they use?
Each calculator names its source and the effective date directly under the result. United States calculators use the federal income tax brackets from the Internal Revenue Service, the target range for the federal funds rate and the effective federal funds rate from the Federal Reserve Board, the 10-year Treasury yield, and the CPI 12-month change from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, refreshed when those bodies publish a change.
Do they work in other countries?
The generic calculators do — enter your own rate and currency. Tax calculators are country-specific, so they are listed per country and marked when a country pack is still in build.
Can I put one on my own site?
Yes. The embed builder gives you a snippet for any calculator. Free embeds keep a small attribution link back here.
Is this financial advice?
No. These are general information tools. Each one shows the formula it used so you can check the working, but none of them account for your circumstances.
