The Deposit Insurance Scheme covers Singapore-dollar deposits with a full bank or finance company up to S$100,000 per depositor per member. Foreign-currency deposits are not covered, and a bank's advertised rate is not a product offer. Confirm a bank's status in the MAS directory before relying on it.
